About New Oakland Family Centers
New Oakland Family Centers is Michigan's leader in crisis stabilization and mental health services with more than 30 years of experience. The organization provides comprehensive, timely, person-centered care tailored to the unique needs of individuals and families. Services span a continuum from outpatient counseling and therapy to intensive interventions and advanced crisis stabilization. The organization was established in 1991 by Dr. Ismail Sendi, a child and adolescent psychiatrist. To date, New Oakland has delivered more than 4.35 million service encounters to more than 200,000 individuals. The practice emphasizes early intervention, preventive care, and family-oriented services to meet individuals at their moment of greatest need.
