Neighborhood Coalition for Shelter (NCS) is a New York-based organization established in 1982 that provides housing and support services to New Yorkers who are homeless or at risk of homelessness. The organization serves individuals whose homelessness is often compounded by mental illness or substance use, helping them achieve their highest level of independence. NCS operates several programs including The NCS Residence on the Upper East Side, Louis Nine House, NCS Scholars, Chance for Change, Options, and NCS Connect.
