Nebraska Medicine is a large academic health network centered in metro Omaha that provides comprehensive medical care through more than 1,400 doctors and nearly 70 specialty and primary care health centers. The organization operates two hospitals—Nebraska Medical Center and Bellevue Medical Center—with over 800 licensed beds. Nebraska Medicine partners with the University of Nebraska Medical Center (UNMC) in research, education, and patient care. The network has built an international reputation for breakthroughs in cancer care, organ transplantation, and treatment of infectious diseases, with roots tracing back to 1869.
