Nashville CARES is the premier HIV/AIDS service organization in Tennessee, founded in 1985. The organization serves more than 20,000 people statewide annually and provides comprehensive services across 17 counties in Middle Tennessee. Services include targeted education, free and confidential HIV testing, and a broad range of comprehensive services to individuals at-risk for or living with HIV. The Nashville CARES Clinic operates as a one-stop center providing primary and HIV care through culturally competent practitioners in an inclusive and affirming environment. The organization is partially funded by the Tennessee Department of Health, Tennessee Department of Mental Health and Substance Abuse Services, Metro Public Health Department, and other state and federal sources.
