Heartland Family Service is a community-based organization founded in Omaha in 1875 that provides counseling, advocacy, education, and support services to individuals, families, and communities. The organization operates from 20 locations across east central Nebraska and southwest Iowa, serving nearly 120,000 individuals and families annually. Services are organized under two primary program focus areas: Housing, Safety, and Community Well-Being, and Counseling and Prevention. The organization is staffed by 423 employees and 115 volunteers, and has been accredited by the Council on Accreditation since 1984.
