Muscogee Nation Department of Health is the tribal health system serving the Muscogee Nation, the fourth largest federally recognized tribe in the United States with over 100,000 citizens. Headquartered in Okmulgee, Oklahoma, the system operates as one of the largest tribal health systems in Oklahoma, delivering a variety of health services throughout an 11-county Reservation spanning 4,811 square miles. The department was established in 1977 and now operates multiple hospitals and clinics across the region, including Council Oak Comprehensive Healthcare, Creek Nation Community Hospital, Muscogee (Creek) Nation Medical Center, and eight additional clinics. MCN Health provides healthcare services to citizens of federally recognized tribes and offers programs including Behavioral Health and Substance Use, Diabetes Prevention and Management, Health Promotion & Wellness, MAT/TOR (Medication-Assisted Treatment/Tribal Opioid Response), Mother & Baby Program, Public Health Nursing, and Community Health services. The system also operates an On-Demand Virtual Clinic and provides forensic nursing and community health representative programs.
