High Point Treatment Center was incorporated as a nonprofit in July 1996 and began operating a substance abuse detox and rehabilitation program in Plymouth, Massachusetts in August 1997, along with a small outpatient clinic in New Bedford. In 2002, High Point created a parent organization called the Southeast Regional Network and affiliated with NeBCOA, which provides short and long-term residential services in New Bedford. High Point's mission is to prevent and treat substance use and mental health disorders, helping individuals achieve personal change and accept responsibility toward an improved quality of life. The organization offers a full continuum of care and is committed to fostering equity, fairness, and inclusion while addressing disparities in access to care and recognizing the connections between substance use, mental health, and social determinants of health.
