Great to meet you

Midwest ADP is an outpatient substance use treatment facility established in 1985 in the Kansas City metro area. The practice provides supervised probation services, Substance Awareness Traffic Offender Program (SATOP) screenings and programming at all four service levels, alcohol and drug education, court-ordered programming, and outpatient treatment services. They offer both in-person and online SATOP programming with permission from the Missouri Department of Mental Health. The organization serves individuals ordered by courts for classes as well as those seeking driver license reinstatement. Their mission is to provide comprehensive therapeutic substance use education and treatment services to foster healthy coping skills and improve quality of life, while supporting the integrity of the local courts and criminal justice system.

Contingency management/motivational incentives

Contingency Management. Evidence-based reinforcement approach: small, immediate, tangible rewards for verified abstinence and engagement. Strongest evidence base of any non-medication intervention for stimulant + gambling disorder.

Motivational interviewing

Motivational Interviewing. A collaborative conversation that strengthens your own reasons for change rather than arguing you into it.

Relapse prevention

Relapse Prevention. Identifies your specific high-risk situations, warning signs, and choice points. Then builds a written, rehearsed plan for each so the moment is not the first time you decide.
