MERIT Resource Services

MERIT Resources (The Valley Alcohol Council, Inc.) is a nonprofit substance abuse treatment and rehabilitation center founded in 1979 in the Yakima valley. The organization provides assessment, education, integrated treatment services, and co-occurring services for substance use disorders and behavioral health needs. MERIT offers a variety of programs for people with mild, moderate, and severe addiction, including outpatient, intensive outpatient, and telehealth services, as well as relapse prevention, continuing recovery, and aftercare. The center serves adults and adolescents with English and Spanish-speaking services available. Additional services include employee assistance programs, student assistance programs, alcohol drug information school (ADIS), and deferred prosecution evaluations. The organization operates multiple offices in Yakima, Kittitas, and Benton counties in Washington state, staffed by national and state-certified substance use disorder professionals.
