Men and Women for Human Excellence, Inc. (MWFHE) is a family strengthening organization that provides recovery and mental health services in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania and Decatur, Georgia. MWFHE helps stabilize and empower recovering individuals with self-destructive thoughts and behaviors through holistic, person-first, strength-based recovery programs. The organization operates drug and alcohol intensive outpatient (IOP) and outpatient (OP) services, a residential therapeutic community program, and mental health recovery services. IOP services include one-hour individual therapy sessions and three 3-hour group sessions per week, while OP services include one-hour individual therapy and two 2-hour group sessions per week. MWFHE is licensed by the Pennsylvania Department of Health and the state of Georgia. The organization also provides free transportation and lunch services to program participants.
