MCCA, Midwestern Connecticut Council of Alcoholism, Inc. is the primary provider of substance abuse prevention, evaluation and treatment services in the greater Danbury area. MCCA was established in 1972. The organization offers inpatient treatment, residential treatment programs at Trinity Glen Men's Program in Sharon and Trinity Glen Women's Program in Kent, withdrawal management services, intensive outpatient programs, and standard outpatient services through individual, group and family therapy. MCCA operates seven outpatient clinics in Bridgeport, Danbury, Derby, New Haven, New Milford, Torrington, and Waterbury. The organization also provides a dedicated Bettor Choice Gambling Program offering outpatient gambling-specific treatment funded by the State of Connecticut, including individual, group, and family counseling, psychiatric evaluation, and couples counseling.
