Great to meet you
Compulsive behaviors impact all aspects of one's life, including thoughts, feelings, and actions. I built my practice upon the idea that anyone can recover if given the right environment.

Evidence-based approaches
Cognitive behavioral therapy (cbt)
Cognitive Behavioral Therapy. Spots the thought-feeling-action loops that fuel urges, then rewires them with practical skills you take into the moment.
Internal family systems (ifs)
Internal Family Systems (IFS). Works with the different "parts" of you (the part that wants to use, the part that wants to stop, the part that feels shame) instead of treating any one as the enemy. Useful with trauma + addiction.
EMDR
Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing. A structured trauma therapy that helps the brain re-file painful memories so they stop hijacking the present.
Mindfulness-based
Mindfulness-Based Relapse Prevention. Practices noticing urges without acting on them, building the gap between trigger and choice.
Motivational interviewing
Motivational Interviewing. A collaborative conversation that strengthens your own reasons for change rather than arguing you into it.
Person-centered
Person-Centered Therapy. Roger’s humanistic approach. The clinician offers unconditional positive regard and follows your lead rather than directing the work. Slow, warm, relationship-first.
Somatic
Somatic Therapy. Works with how the body holds trauma and stress, breath, posture, sensation, alongside the cognitive work. Useful when the body still feels activated even after talking the situation through.
Coaching
A therapeutic approach included in this provider’s plan of care. Contact for specifics on how it shows up in their work.
Humanistic
Humanistic Therapy. Centers your own capacity to heal, with the clinician as a non-judgmental partner rather than an expert prescribing fixes. Roots in Carl Rogers; warm, relationship-first.
Feminist
A therapeutic approach included in this provider’s plan of care. Contact for specifics on how it shows up in their work.
