Lutheran Social Services of SD

Lutheran Social Services of South Dakota is a comprehensive human service organization serving individuals, families, and communities across South Dakota. LSS offers a diverse continuum of services including family support, adoption services, post-adoption counseling, pregnancy counseling, family stabilization, foster care and kinship services, childcare, youth empowerment, juvenile justice services, mentoring, independent living services, residential services for youth, refugee and immigrant support, older adult services, and behavioral health services. The organization serves South Dakotans of all ages, faiths, races, and economic statuses, providing a whole-person approach to care with support tailored to individual circumstances. In 2025, LSS impacted the lives of 47,205 South Dakotans through these statewide services.
