What a first session looks like
Virtual & In-PersonCall or walk in to any VA medical center anytime day or night, call or walk in to any Vet Center during clinic hours, or call 877-222-8387 Monday through Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m. ET. If already using VA medical services, ask your primary care provider to help schedule an appointment with a VA mental health provider.

Group therapy
Group Therapy. A small facilitated circle where people working on similar struggles practice naming what is hard, hearing themselves in others, and learning skills together. The room is the medicine.
Trauma-informed care
Trauma-Informed Care. Approaches addiction as something layered on top of unprocessed trauma, not in isolation. Pacing matters more than confrontation.
Mindfulness
Mindfulness-Based Relapse Prevention. Practices noticing urges without acting on them, building the gap between trigger and choice.
