Knox Area Rescue Ministries

Knox Area Rescue Ministries (KARM) has provided recovery services to the Knoxville area since 1960. KARM helps more than 5,000 men and women annually who are struggling with homelessness, poverty, mental health, and addiction. The organization provides safe shelter to over 300 men, women, and children each night, along with hundreds of meals daily, basic hygiene and clothing support, and care coordination. KARM operates 24 hours a day, 365 days a year. The organization uses a ministry formula based on rescue combined with supportive relationships to achieve restoration to self, family, and community. KARM has no denominational affiliation and operates multiple programs including AfterCare, KARM Care, KARM Works, LaunchPoint, New Life, and Serenity to support individuals on their path to restoration.
