Khunsi Onikan

American Indian Family Center (AIFC) is a community-based organization serving approximately 700 American Indian families annually in St. Paul and the East Metro. The center provides mental health, recovery, employment, housing, family and youth services grounded in traditional American Indian ceremonies and cultural values. AIFC operates as a community gathering space and believes that traditional ceremonies have healing powers. The center was founded in 1994 and opened its doors to families in 1997, achieving nonprofit 501(c)3 status in 1997 with permanent federal status in 2001. All services and programs are designed to incorporate traditional healing ceremonies and traditions to support American Indian families and communities in achieving balance and thriving.
