About Institute for Community Living Inc
The Institute for Community Living (ICL) is a New York-based organization serving children, adults, and families living with serious mental illness, substance use disorder, and developmental disabilities. ICL provides a comprehensive whole health approach that addresses behavioral and physical health as well as social determinants of health including housing and food security. Services include housing, treatment services, coordinated care, services for children and families, the East New York Health Hub, and support for individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities. ICL operates the ICL Hope Center, a centralized entry point where specially trained staff connect people to appropriate ICL programs or community resources. The organization serves all New Yorkers regardless of background or age, with particular focus on supporting veterans and homeless individuals. ICL emphasizes that every person has the ability and right to lead a full and productive life.
