Great to meet you

Huntington Creek Recovery Center is an addiction treatment center situated on 40 acres in northeastern Pennsylvania, serving men and women aged 18 and older. The center treats substance use disorders involving alcohol, opioids (including heroin and prescription painkillers), stimulants (cocaine, methamphetamine, Adderall), marijuana, synthetic marijuana, and benzodiazepines. The facility also addresses co-occurring mental health conditions alongside addiction. Treatment is delivered by a multidisciplinary team including a medical director, physician's assistant, nurses, counselors, and therapists. The center offers non-hospital detox with medication management and supervised medical care, followed by residential treatment that includes individual therapy, group therapy, experiential therapy (ropes courses, biofeedback), and continued medication management as needed.

Evidence-based approaches

Group therapy

Group Therapy. A small facilitated circle where people working on similar struggles practice naming what is hard, hearing themselves in others, and learning skills together. The room is the medicine.

Medication management

Medication Management. Ongoing monitoring + adjustment of psychiatric or addiction medications by a prescribing clinician. Often paired with therapy, not in place of it.

Trauma-informed care

Trauma-Informed Care. Approaches addiction as something layered on top of unprocessed trauma, not in isolation. Pacing matters more than confrontation.
