Human Support Services (HSS) is a community-based provider located in Waterloo, Illinois serving individuals aged 5 to 100. HSS provides mental health counseling, substance use prevention services and treatment, youth services, crisis services, dementia caregiver support, housing for individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities and mental health concerns, and employment services. They offer a walk-in behavioral health clinic every Wednesday from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. on a first-come, first-served basis, with first appointments lasting approximately two hours. During intake, individuals receive a screening by a licensed mental health professional and linkage to resources tailored to their needs. HSS serves individuals across a wide age range and focuses on helping people achieve independence, recovery, and employment in the community.

What a first session looks like
Virtual & In-PersonWalk-in clinic available every Wednesday from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. on a first-come, first-served basis. The first appointment lasts roughly two hours and includes a screening by a licensed mental health professional and linkage to resources.
