Hope of East Tennessee is a 501c3 non-profit organization chartered in 1976 that provides evidence-based treatment for men and women with substance use disorders and co-occurring mental health disorders. The organization operates two residential programs: Opportunity House for men and Serenity Springs for women, as well as intensive outpatient treatment (IOP), transitional living, alcohol and drug education groups, and substance abuse assessments. Located in Oak Ridge, Tennessee, HOPE is funded through grants from the Tennessee Department of Mental Health and Substance Abuse Services and accepts various insurance plans including Blue Cross Blue Shield of Tennessee, TennCare, United Healthcare, Amerigroup, and Blue Care, as well as self-pay on a sliding scale. The organization uses evidence-based practices and strongly recommends involvement in 12-step programs or similar fellowships to support spiritual wellbeing.
