High Plains Mental Health Center

High Plains Mental Health Center is a community mental health provider proudly serving Northwest Kansas for more than 60 years. Founded in 1964, the organization operates 60+ locations across 20 counties and delivers accessible, affordable care tailored to each person's needs. Services include crisis intervention, mental health counseling, community support services, housing developments, and telehealth options. The center operates a 24/7 crisis hotline and the Schwaller Crisis Stabilization Center. HPMHC pioneered Certified Community Behavioral Health Clinics in Kansas in 2021. Intake appointments are typically available the same day or next day, offered both in-person and via telehealth. Services are provided without judgment and include diagnosis, recovery goal setting, and individualized treatment planning.
