Heartland Family Service is a community-based organization located in Omaha, Nebraska with 20 locations across east central Nebraska and southwest Iowa. Founded in 1875, the organization strengthens individuals, families, and communities through advocacy, education, counseling, and support services. Last year, they connected with nearly 120,000 individuals and families through direct services, advocacy, education, and outreach. The organization focuses on two main program areas: Housing, Safety, and Community Well-Being, and Counseling and Prevention. They employ 423 staff members and work with 115 volunteers to deliver their services. Heartland Family Service has been accredited by the Council on Accreditation since 1984 and maintains a reputation for quality programs, conscientious management, and excellent customer service.
