New Horizons Behavioral Health provides behavioral health and intellectual/developmental disability (I/DD) services to eight counties in West Central Georgia. For four decades, New Horizons has offered professional care for individuals and families struggling with mental illness, developmental disabilities, or addictive disease. The practice aims to treat each person with dignity and respect, enabling them to have successful and fulfilling lives. New Horizons is implementing a Certified Community Behavioral Health Clinic (CCBHC) service delivery model, designed to serve any individual in need of care, regardless of ability to pay. CCBHCs aim to care for those who are underserved, have low incomes, are insured, uninsured, underinsured, or are active-duty military or veterans. Services include Addictive Disease, Behavioral Health, Child & Adolescent, Developmental Disabilities, and Specialty Services. Outpatient Substance Use Disorder Services provide recovery-focused evidence-based interventions. Telehealth is available, including videoconferencing, electronic communications, telephone, and online groups. An Express Clinic allows individuals to walk in for same-day behavioral healthcare visits with a counselor or provider. What a first session looks like
Virtual & In-PersonIndividuals can walk in for behavioral healthcare at the Express Clinic and have a visit with a counselor same day. They can also be seen by a provider on the same or next day to ensure they get the help they need when they need it.
