Guidance Center Kids Talk

The Guidance Center is a comprehensive behavioral health organization serving the Detroit/Downriver area. They provide services spanning Early Childhood, Children and Youth Services, Adult Services, and Intellectual and Developmental Disabilities. Adult Services focus on supporting people living with serious mental illness and their families. They offer Behavioral Health Urgent Care for adults and children ages 6 and older who need assistance with mental health and/or substance use. Children and Youth Services provide mental health services to ages 5-17 with emotional and behavioral challenges. Early Childhood offers resources for families with children birth to 6 years. They operate Kids-TALK Children's Advocacy Center, serving children through age 17 with comprehensive treatment for suspected victims of sexual abuse, physical abuse, neglect, or psychological trauma. The Guidance Center also operates as a Certified Community Behavioral Health Clinic providing comprehensive mental health and substance use disorder services to vulnerable individuals. They serve approximately 14,200 children and adults yearly.
