Gamblers Anonymous (New Mexico)Peer Support in NM
Great to meet you
Gamblers Anonymous is a fellowship of men and women who share their experience, strength, and hope to help others recover from gambling problems. The organization operates on a self-supporting model with no dues or fees for membership; the only requirement is a desire to stop gambling. Gamblers Anonymous is not affiliated with any sect, denomination, politics, organization, or institution. The program offers meetings in multiple formats: in-person, virtual, and telephone. Members learn that compulsive gambling is a progressive illness and that recovery requires conceding to oneself that one is a compulsive gambler. The program emphasizes that willpower alone is not enough to overcome compulsive gambling, and members practice certain principles in their daily affairs to lead normal, happy lives. The International Service Office is located in Upland, California.
