Freedom Institute is a state-of-the-art outpatient treatment and recovery center founded in 1976 that provides clinical assessments and evidence-based treatment services for individuals suffering from alcoholism, substance misuse, abuse, addiction, and related underlying mental health issues. The organization is unique in its involvement of family members in the client's treatment and recovery process, combining Intensive Outpatient Programming with a family systems approach. Freedom Institute offers an integration of Dialectical Behavior Therapy and Relational Family Therapy, serving adults and young adults and their families in the New York City metropolitan area. The center provides both in-person and telehealth services and has been recognized as a leader at the intersection of family therapy and substance abuse treatment.
