First Step Center

Northpointe Council is a not-for-profit human service organization serving the Greater Niagara Area for 56 years. They provide high-quality, person-centered prevention, intervention, education, counseling, treatment, emergency, and recovery services for individuals affected by substance use disorders and other addictions. Treatment programs include The First Step Center, a 24-bed residential facility with 7 medically supervised inpatient withdrawal beds and 17 stabilization residential beds operating 24/7; an outpatient program; methadone maintenance; family and couples counseling services; and criminal justice system components. The First Step Center offers medical and non-medical detoxification under the direct supervision of nursing, medical, and counseling staff in a sober environment. Addiction and psychiatric medication management is available as clinically indicated for participants.
