Founded in 1973, FLACRA (Finger Lakes Area Counseling & Recovery Agency) is a private, not-for-profit agency serving individuals and their loved ones whose lives are affected by substance use, mental health disorders, and overall health and well-being. The agency operates in Monroe, Ontario, Seneca, Schuyler, Steuben, Wayne, and Yates counties. FLACRA provides compassionate, individualized care and strength-based treatment services using a holistic approach that incorporates physical and social healthcare services within a whole-person care model. They offer Connections, a peer-led recovery program that provides non-clinical health, wellness, skill-building, education, and art classes to support recovery and personal growth. FLACRA believes chemical dependency is a treatable disease and that those who receive treatment can return to a happy and healthy lifestyle.
