Family and Medical Counseling Service

Family Medical Counseling Service, Inc. (FMCS) is a community-based healthcare organization serving Washington, D.C. and Prince George's County, MD. FMCS provides comprehensive holistic health care and support services through two office locations and three mobile units. Services include primary medical care for all ages (pediatric, adolescent, and adult), behavioral health services with individual and group therapy, medication management, and substance use prevention and treatment. The organization also offers harm reduction services including HIV and Hepatitis C testing, syringe exchange, overdose prevention, and community education. Prevention and support services are available for people living with HIV/AIDS or substance use disorders, with a focus on whole-person health and access to community resources.
