Great to meet you

ETANO Center is a comprehensive outpatient drug rehabilitation clinic located in Tucson that specializes in medication-assisted treatment for opioid addiction. The center offers both outpatient detoxification and maintenance services using Methadone, Buprenorphine (Suboxone), and Naltrexone (Vivitrol). An extended take-home medication program is available for patients meeting necessary requirements. In addition to medication management, ETANO Center provides supplemental services including medical and laboratory services, psychiatric referrals, relapse prevention support groups, and one-on-one counseling. Treatment combines medication to stabilize individuals physically with therapy and counseling to address psychological and behavioral components of addiction. The center employs a team of trained staff and intake counselors who assist individuals at every stage of their recovery journey.

Evidence-based approaches

MAT

Medication-Assisted Treatment (MAT). Pairs FDA-approved medications with counseling and behavioral therapy. Standard of care for opioid and alcohol use disorder; emerging evidence in gambling for impulsivity-targeting agents.

Motivational interviewing

Motivational Interviewing. A collaborative conversation that strengthens your own reasons for change rather than arguing you into it.

CBT

Cognitive Behavioral Therapy. Spots the thought-feeling-action loops that fuel urges, then rewires them with practical skills you take into the moment.

Relapse prevention

Relapse Prevention. Identifies your specific high-risk situations, warning signs, and choice points. Then builds a written, rehearsed plan for each so the moment is not the first time you decide.

Contingency management

Contingency Management. Evidence-based reinforcement approach: small, immediate, tangible rewards for verified abstinence and engagement. Strongest evidence base of any non-medication intervention for stimulant + gambling disorder.

Group therapy

Group Therapy. A small facilitated circle where people working on similar struggles practice naming what is hard, hearing themselves in others, and learning skills together. The room is the medicine.
