Drug and Alcohol Treatment Service (DATS) is Lackawanna County's leading outpatient drug and alcohol treatment center located in Scranton, Pennsylvania at 441 Wyoming Avenue. As a private non-profit agency, DATS provides comprehensive outpatient treatment services to individuals with substance abuse disorders. The organization recognizes chemical dependency as a chronic, progressive disease and utilizes a variety of traditional and state-of-the-art approaches. The focus of treatment is centered on changing destructive behaviors and developing a lifestyle free of mood-altering drugs. DATS has provided decades of service to the community and operates under the belief that recovery and a healthy lifestyle are realistic goals for anyone affected by the disease of addiction. The agency is governed by a volunteer Board of Directors and funded through Federal, State, and Local grants, Medical Assistance, private health insurance, patient payments, and donations.
