Dismas Home of New Hampshire

Dismas Home of New Hampshire is a federally registered 501(c)(3) nonprofit residential treatment and re-entry program established in 2016 by Julie McCarthy-Brown and Jack McCarthy. The program serves justice-involved women, including veterans, with substance use disorder. It offers a combination 90-day treatment program and transitional living program with clinical, medical, and educational support to address the root causes of addiction and justice-involvement. The program reports an over 90% success rate for those who complete it. Dismas Home is the only nonprofit program in New Hampshire dedicated solely to serving women who have been involved in the justice system and providing substance use treatment and comprehensive wrap-around services. The program is not a detoxification facility, halfway house, or sober home. Residents are in early recovery and committed to transitioning into meaningful lives.
