Diakon Family Life Services

Diakon Child, Family & Community Ministries is a faith-based organization that provides a range of programs and services for children, youths, families, and adult individuals across Pennsylvania and Maryland. Founded through the 2000 affiliation and merger of Tressler Lutheran Services and Lutheran Services Northeast, with roots dating to 1868, Diakon serves nearly 70,000 people annually through approximately 25 service centers and affordable housing communities. The organization also administers the Pennsylvania Statewide Adoption & Permanency Network. In 2024, Diakon's senior living operations merged with Lutheran Senior Services. Operating under the motto "Many Hands, guided by One Heart," Diakon is part of Lutheran Services in America and the Evangelical Lutheran Church in America, providing hope, hospitality, and healing to those in need.
