The VA offers multiple access points including VA medical centers and Vet Centers available 24/7, with services ranging from peer support with other Veterans to counseling, therapy, medication, or combinations thereof. Services are free and available regardless of discharge status or VA health care enrollment. The VA served over 1.7 million Veterans with mental health services and offers telehealth options, online self-help portals, smartphone apps, and peer support programs for those unable to access in-person care.
