The Courage Center is a 12-16 week intensive outpatient addiction treatment program located in Gorham, Maine, serving low-income people in recovery from substance use disorder. The program operates Monday through Friday from 9:30 AM to 12:30 PM and combines clinical therapy, medical care, housing support, and peer support in an integrated framework. The center offers medication-assisted treatment (MAT), psychiatric services, primary care, and professional counseling, with all clinical services reimbursable through MaineCare. The center provides access to four recovery residences where participants can live independently while receiving accountability and support. The program is led by professionally-staffed clinicians with lived experience of addiction and mental illness, and staff members assist with employment navigation, benefits, housing resources, and referrals to support long-term recovery.
