CoOccurring Disorders Institute (CODI)

Compassionate Directions (CODI) is a nonprofit behavioral health outpatient clinic serving children ages 3 through 21 and families in the Matanuska-Susitna Borough, Alaska, with offices in Palmer. CODI provides individual, family, and group therapy aimed at supporting children toward wellness and resiliency, particularly for children experiencing severe emotional challenges and adverse experiences. Services include outpatient counseling, case management, and community behavioral health support through behavioral health associates who work one-on-one with children in school or community settings to teach coping skills, social skills, and safety skills. CODI also offers parenting programs including Triple P: Positive Parenting Program and Circle of Security, and provides wrap-around services in day care, preschool, home school, and school district settings including remote learning days.
