The Consortium, Inc. is a recovery-oriented, nonprofit Community Mental Health Center established in 1967 serving the Philadelphia region. The organization provides behavioral health, substance use, and supports coordination services for members of all ages. Their service offerings include adult behavioral health counseling using evidence-based methods to treat trauma; children's behavioral health services with specialized care in childhood trauma and family therapy; addiction services designed to help people regain balance and reach their potential; and supports coordination for individuals with intellectual or developmental disabilities across four counties. The Consortium operates an integrated care model that combines behavioral health treatment with primary medical services through a partnership with Spectrum Health Systems, offering health screenings, medical education, vaccinations, and lab services at the same site as addiction treatment. Additionally, they provide the CARE Team, a mobile crisis unit for emergency response and stabilization in adult community and hospital settings available Monday through Friday, 7 am-11 pm. The organization maintains a computer lab offering free resources to members for employment, housing, education, and community integration support.
