They provide comprehensive outpatient substance use and mental health services, including methadone maintenance treatment and other evidence-based care. The organization is nationally accredited by the Commission on Accreditation of Rehabilitation Facilities and licensed by the State of Connecticut Department of Public Health. They are funded by the Connecticut Department of Mental Health and Addiction Services. Connecticut Counseling Centers is recognized as a leader in behavioral healthcare research and education, having participated in numerous research projects with universities and government agencies over their 35-year history.
