Community Human Services

Community Human Services is a 501(c)(3) public nonprofit and Joint Powers Authority providing mental health, substance abuse, and homeless services to middle and low-income individuals and families in Monterey County, California. The organization offers adolescent outpatient treatment, substance use treatment for adults with residential and outpatient counseling options, mental and emotional health services, and street outreach and shelter services for youth, women, and families. CHS addresses underlying conditions and root causes of personal, family and community problems including addiction, mental illness, emotional health, homelessness, and child abuse. Services are located in Seaside and Salinas and help clients develop new skills, support networks, and learn how to utilize community resources.
