Citizen Advocates is a behavioral health and community-based services organization serving a seven-county region of Upstate New York. The organization delivers mental health care, addiction treatment, housing, crisis response, disability services, and community-based supports. Founded in 1975, Citizen Advocates operates as a coordinated network with multiple clinics, including Malone Behavioral Health Campus and Saranac Lake Outpatient Clinic. The organization offers individual and group counseling, medication-assisted treatment for addiction, employment training, crisis hotline and mobile response services, and harm reduction services.
