Charleston Area Medical Center (CAMC) is a nonprofit regional referral center established in 1972, comprising seven hospitals and serving southern West Virginia. CAMC offers a full range of services including primary care, specialized care from cardiologists, pediatricians, neurologists, urologists, and other specialists. The health system is home to nationally recognized centers in heart and vascular care, cancer treatment, robotic surgery, neurosciences, and trauma care, as well as West Virginia's first freestanding Women and Children's Hospital. CAMC provides telemedicine services through its 24/7 Care app and offers online appointment scheduling. The organization is part of Vandalia Health System and serves as West Virginia's premiere medical teaching facility, hosting over 1,000 students daily in health professions programs.
