Hour House, also known as Central East Alcoholism & Drug Council, is a community-based not-for-profit corporation offering services to address substance use disorders and gambling disorder as well as other therapeutic needs. Originally incorporated in 1972, the organization opened its first facility in 1973 and now operates 10 sites in east central Illinois. The organization's mission is to provide hope to individuals, families and the community through outstanding delivery of substance use and gambling disorder services. Hour House is named in recognition that recovery happens an "hour at a time." The organization serves residents of east central Illinois and other state residents through its multiple locations in the geographic area.
