Great to meet you
Rev. Birma Montes was a pastor, social worker, entrepreneur, wife and mother. As an immigrant from Puerto Rico she came to Philadelphia with the hope of starting a new life for her and family. After dealing with the consequences of addiction within her own family and nearly losing her husband to alcoholism, she accepted Jesus into her life and her husband began his recovery process. In 1993, she founded CASA with the help of community neighbors, doctors, pastors, and other professionals.
