Cahaba Center for Mental Health

Cahaba Center for Mental Health is located in Selma, Alabama and has been serving Dallas, Perry, and Wilcox counties since 1973. The center serves individuals with mental illness and developmental disabilities. Services include outpatient services for ages 5 and up with initial clinical evaluations, individual counseling, family counseling, medication management, crisis intervention, and case management. Adult day programs provide intensive day treatment and rehabilitative services focused on community living skills, functioning enhancement, and community integration. In-home interventions serve both adults and children/adolescents to prevent crises and out-of-home placement. Residential programs include 24/7 supervised group homes for individuals with serious mental illness, designed to build social, educational, and vocational skills toward independence. The center also offers developmental disability services including residential and day services.
