The Council on Alcoholism & Drug Abuse of Northwest Louisiana operates addiction treatment centers in Shreveport and Bossier City, Louisiana, serving the community since 1958. The organization's mission is to educate, counsel, and treat people who suffer from alcoholism and other addictive diseases. They offer a full continuum of care for substance use disorder treatment, including residential treatment (28-day high-intensity programs with 90-day stepdown options), intensive outpatient programs, individual outpatient treatment, education, and assessment services. The Tootsie Davis Family Education and Support Program provides support groups for family members and loved ones. Services are available for pregnant women and women with dependent children. The organization accepts admissions seven days a week and operates a mobile crisis response team available 24 hours a day, 7 days a week to assist anyone experiencing a mental-health or substance-use crisis.
