Brookes House

Brooke's House is an addiction treatment center located in Hagerstown, Maryland that provides comprehensive recovery services exclusively for adult women struggling with alcohol abuse, opioid misuse, and substance use disorders. The facility offers three levels of care: long-term residential substance abuse treatment, intensive outpatient programs (IOP), and standard outpatient group treatment with individual counseling. Residential clients receive structured living, recovery support, counseling, and life skills development in a safe, supportive environment. Individual counseling sessions of 45 to 60 minutes use evidence-based therapies including CBT, motivational interviewing, DBT, and relapse prevention counseling. IOP services require a minimum of 9 hours of group treatment per week plus individual sessions twice monthly, focusing on stabilization, interpersonal skills, coping strategies, and introduction to the Twelve Steps. Outpatient group sessions last 60 to 90 minutes weekly and cover relapse prevention, communication, life skills, and reentry preparation. The organization was founded by Kevin and Dana Simmers and operates as a community-based sober living and recovery program.
