Brighter Futures is a Substance and Mental Health Treatment Program operated by Boone Memorial Health, providing compassionate, supportive care for patients recovering from substance use disorders. The program was established through State Opioid Response (SOR) Grant SAMHSA funding and additional Board support. Services include medication-assisted treatment, mobile recovery clinic, case management, clinical assessments, hepatology care, individual and group therapy, peer recovery support, career-readiness training, career placement, and social services. The program serves the southern West Virginia region and aims to stabilize families affected by addiction through comprehensive treatment access and recovery support.

Medication-Assisted Treatment (MAT). Pairs FDA-approved medications with counseling and behavioral therapy. Standard of care for opioid and alcohol use disorder; emerging evidence in gambling for impulsivity-targeting agents.
Group therapy
Group Therapy. A small facilitated circle where people working on similar struggles practice naming what is hard, hearing themselves in others, and learning skills together. The room is the medicine.
