Community Counseling Services provides outpatient behavioral health services across seven South Dakota counties: Beadle, Lake, Miner, Moody, Hand, Jerauld, and Kingsbury. They offer state-accredited mental health treatment for youth, adults, and families, as well as substance use disorder outpatient services. The organization operates several specialized programs including CARE (which builds physical, emotional, and intellectual skills), System of Care (a wraparound approach for at-risk youth and families up to age 21), IMPACT (Individualized Mobile Program of Assertive Community Treatment for consumers struggling with mental illness), and a Child Development program. They provide psychiatric services including medication management via telemedicine or in-office visits, with care delivered by psychiatrists and nurse practitioners. Supportive housing is available through the Bradfield-Leary Center Apartments for consumers in the CARE or IMPACT programs. Funding assistance and sliding fee scales are available for eligible individuals and families.
