Behavioral Awareness Center, Inc. is a SAMHSA-certified opioid outpatient treatment program that specializes in medication-assisted treatment using methadone. The program provides comprehensive opioid use disorder treatment including methadone maintenance in multiple formulations (liquid, 10mg tablets, 40mg diskettes), substance use assessment, and counseling services. Treatment includes individual and group counseling, family counseling when needed, and support for special populations including pregnant and postpartum women, clients with co-occurring mental health and substance use disorders, clients with co-occurring pain and substance use disorders, and clients who have experienced domestic violence or trauma. The program offers additional services including DUI screening and education, employment counseling and training, housing assistance, recovery coaching, and peer mentoring. All medications are administered as prescribed by a Nurse Practitioner. The program welcomes walk-ins and does not require advance appointments.
