West River Mental Health is a private not-for-profit agency providing mental health and substance use disorder services throughout western South Dakota. For over 75 years, the organization has served adults, children, families, and communities across ten counties in the region including Bennett, Butte, Custer, Fall River, Harding, Jackson, Meade, Lawrence, Pennington, and Oglala Lakota. The agency operates five locations across Rapid City, Spearfish, and Hot Springs, South Dakota. Services include counseling, psychiatric care, case management, children and family services, emergency services, and addiction treatment.
